It's Colour of Music Festival's 10th Birthday!

The inaugural Colour of Music Festival event launched a bold American idea on October 23, 2013 at the historic Dock Street Theatre in Charleston, SC.

Ten years later, our mission continues on a journey that provides distinctive, extraordinary opportunities for composers, musicians and vocalists of African descent a platform to present a wide-ranging repertoire of classical music at the highest musical standards. 

We are proud to share with you that our diverse audiences continue to grow throughout the continental United States, and the Colour of Music Festival will soon provide audiences the opportunity to witness our extraordinary and talented pool of musicians internationally. 

Our third-year residency in the great state of California will take place once again in California’s Capital City of Sacramento (November 8–11, 2023), two spotlight performances will take place November 6th and 7th. 

Today we reflect on where we started a decade ago and, thanks to your support, where we are today, ten years later. Come share in our milestone by joining us in Sacramento or plan to attend our February 7–10, 2024 African-American history month concert series in our domicile City of Charleston, South Carolina.
